Walker's Drive In

My husband, Collin, and I ate at a local hot spot tonight - Walker's Drive-In - and it was fabulous! Walker's is such a unique and fun atmosphere - taking you back in time with it's retro vibe of black and white checkered floors and neon lights. And for those of you not located in the Jackson, MS area, the restaurant is located in the Fondren District - quite possibly the most eclectic, trendy and artistic area of town. It's just wonderful! In fact, it's such a great attraction, Walker's is located right smack in the middle of where parts of the film, The Help, are being filmed this week.

Anyway, Walker's has been around for years and continues to be a favorite! Collin had the soft shell crab special, and I enjoyed the veal with crabmeat and risotto. Oh, and we couldn't go without getting the delicious tamales for appetizer. YUM is all I have to say :) If you're ever in Jackson, you must go!

Last Chances

As we move into fall, it's hard not to enjoy the beautiful weather at every chance - and there won't be too many more chances until the cold weather chases us inside by the fire. Although I must admit I'm ready for some cooler weather, I want to savor each and every minute I can get outside and relax. Below are some images that I found inspiring this morning. First Comes Love...

Then comes marriage...soon I'll be strolling a baby carriage!! Yep, you guessed it. Collin and I are expecting our first child early spring - April 3 to be exact. We are beyond thrilled and so excited! I guess winning that fabulous Babylicious giveaway from Keeping Up with Stella was a sign - ha!

Mantel Maniac

In my opinion, mantels can be one of the most fun pieces to decorate but one of the most challenging too! I have recently been searching for the perfect accessories for my keeping room mantel, but I just haven't run across the right pieces yet. In my quest, I have done a little online research and image searching for inspiration, and here are some of my favorites. What does your mantel look like? Tupelo Travelin'

I'm a little belated on this post, but it's better late than never, right? Collin and I had the best time visiting great friends in Tupelo a few weekends ago! We had been meaning to make the trip for a while and finally did it! Here is a group picture of the girls - well, one of two photos I took the whole weekend. Sad, I know!

Thanks Kelly and Harrison for letting us stay. Your home is gorgeous! Jessie and Jeff - Morgan is a doll! As always, we loved catching up! We are so blessed to have such great friends...We love you!

Catch Me If I Fall...

Since it is getting to be fall season (my personal favorite!), and nevermind the fact that I'm dying for cooler weather here in MS, I thought I would post some interior images of one of my favorite fall colors - orange! I just love this bright hue, anytime of the year really, but especially in the latter months. I can just smell the pumpkin and hear the leaves falling in the air - aaahhhh...

Okay, it will be here soon enough I hope, but in the meantime, here's to FALL!

Work and No Play?!

I don't think I would have any problems going to work in these super cool spaces, but it would be hard not to play a little too. The spaces are just so fun. I love the feminine touches of the pink and purple, and the modern lines of the furniture are lovely!
