Mantel Maniac
In my opinion, mantels can be one of the most fun pieces to decorate but one of the most challenging too! I have recently been searching for the perfect accessories for my keeping room mantel, but I just haven't run across the right pieces yet. In my quest, I have done a little online research and image searching for inspiration, and here are some of my favorites. What does your mantel look like? What pieces have you used to decorate your mantel? Please share...I would love to see!

i dunno if i'm really feeling any of the pics of mantels in these photos - i like really stand out bold pieces or funku funk things :o) .. antlers always work in my books! - not that i have mantel or anything to decorate anyway :o(
ReplyDeleteI love the plates and candelabras against the red well. Quite stunning.
ReplyDeleteWell, I really like the mantel in the first image, which is stange because normally I go for symmetry. I also cannot resist a sunburst mirror over the fireplace!
ReplyDeleteYay... there's nothing better than a well-organized or designed mantel!
ReplyDeleteLove all of them! Unfortunately, I don't have a mantel to accessorize :(
ReplyDeleteI had a mantle in my last house but not now. I like the 3rd image with all the natural elements.
ReplyDeleteLove #2! Too late at my house though- I have a vintage tile mirror hanging over mine complemented by some antique knickknacks.
ReplyDeleteOooh! A keeping room! My mantel is pretty predictable and boring (mirror in the middle, topiaries and candlesticks on each side). I like symmetry, but have decided to throw in a few more unexpected elements that I love (small pots and letters). Have fun...Linsey
ReplyDeleteI have a 17ft long mantle so it is a hard one. I use the less is more big is better mantra for my house. I change it out for the seasons you can see it here:

I think for a reg. size 5-6ft. I like one stand out piece and a few other things to balance it. I do like symmetry so that is where my look would probably stem from. I do enjoy overlapping pieces of art also. I know you will come up with something wonderful, you have amazing taste,

Those are some gorgeous pictures. Unfortunately, I don't have a mantel at home or even a fireplace.
ReplyDeleteWonderful ideas for mantel decor! Have a pleasant day, Kellie xx
